BELARUSIAN CEMENT PLANT INCREASES OUTPUT IN JANUARY-FEBRUARY

In January-February 2005 Belarusian Cement Plant (BCP, Kostyukovichi, Mogilev Region) produced 76,700 tons of cement, 19.1% up on the corresponding period of last year.

The company produced 6,700 tons of cement packed in sacks (25 kg, 50 kg, and 1,000 kg).

Over the period the company exported 12,500 tons of cement, 14.6% down on the corresponding period of last year.

Exports mainly go to Poland, the Baltic States, and Russia.

In January-February 2005 the company also produced 6,700 tons of lime at Klimovichi production facility, which part of the Belarusian Cement Plant.

Nowadays the company is working to obtain Russian and international certificates to trade in lime in the countries.

The overall commodity output amounted to BYR 5.9 billion, 18.1% up on the year. Consumer goods output growth rate totalled 107.2% over the two months. As of March 1 2005 the finished goods inventory made 6% of the average monthly output, almost 7 times as less as the winter norm.

In cost terms cement accounted for almost 98% of the two-month turnout.

“KRICHEVTSEMENTOSHIFER” RAISES INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT IN JANUARY-FEBRUARY

National unitary enterprise Krichevtsementoshifer produced BYR 6.9 billion of industrial goods in January-February 2005, 41.2% up on the corresponding period of last year, head of the Economic Planning Department of the company Valentina Stadub said.

Over the period the company produced 76,000 tons of cement, 44.2% up on the respective period of last year. High quality cement production totalled 39,000 tons of M 500 DO type, 51.3% up, and 20,900 tons of M 500 D20 type (with additives), which the company started producing in April 2004.

Krichevtsementoshifer produced 5,100 tons of cement packed in sacks (25, 50, 1,000 kg), 25.9% up on the corresponding period of last year.

In January-February 2005 the enterprise also made 7.5 million equivalent roofing slates, 47.1% up on the respective period of last year.

Cement accounted for 76.5% of the output. The make is compliant with ISO 9002 quality standard.

In January-February 2005 the enterprise exported 2,000 tons of cement (66.6% up) and 24,000 equivalent roofing slates (almost the same figure that was registered in the respective period of last year). The company exported cement mainly to Lithuania and Poland, roofing slates – Russia.

As of March 1 the finished goods inventory made 20.8% while the average monthly output is 35%.

Belarus’ Krasnoselskstroymaterialy’s cement output up 102.4%/yr Jan

 

MINSK, Feb 11 (Prime-Tass) -- The cement output of Belarus’ largest cement producer Krasnoselskstroymaterialy increased 102.4% on the year in January to 99,953 tonnes, an official with the company told Prime-Tass Friday.

 

According to the official, the rise in output was due to an increased demand for cement. “There was no seasonal decrease in cement consumption because of favorable weather conditions for construction,” he added.

 

Lime output in the period was at 23,821 tonnes, up 31.8% on the year, while asbestos cement sheet was not manufactured in January.

 

Company’s output in monetary terms reached 10.048 billion Belarusian rubles in January, up 76.2% on the year.

 

Krasnoselskstroymaterialy is a joint-stock company set up in January 2001. The government owns 59% in the company, while the company itself holds an 7.6% stake. Belarusian farms and individuals hold 15.6% and 17.8% in the company respectively.

ON INCREASE OF BELARUSIAN CEMENT PLANT EXPORT IN JANUARY

In January 2005 RUE Belarusian Cement Plant (Kostyukovichi, Mogilev region) exported 7,100 tons of cement, 65.1% more than in January 2004.

She said, exports grew as this year the BCP has acquired the right to mark its cement with CE sign, which allows selling the product to EU member-states.

The enterprise sells mostly to Lithuania, Latvia and Poland.

In January 2005 the enterprise produced 30.5 thousand tons of cement (Ì500D0), Ì500D20, Ì550, Ì500DÎN), which is 25.8% more than in January 2004, including 2,600 thousand tons of cement packed in 25-, 50-, 1,000-kg bags.

The overall commodity output amounted to BYR 2.1 billion, 12.8% up on the year. Sales profitability reached 11.6%, company’s stock – 4.8% of the monthly output against January norm of 48%.

As much as 2,900 tons of lime was produced at a lime shop in Klimovichi. Currently, the shop with the annual capacity of 100,000 tons of lime is being mastered, specified the source.

The enterprise is to get Russian and international certificate, which would allow exporting lime abroad.

Belarusian Cement Plant was set into operation in 1996. It employs over 1,000 people.

“KRICHEVTSEMENTNOSHIFER” increaseS INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT IN JANUARY

In January 2005 Krichevtsementnoshifer UE (Mogilev region) made BYR 3.4 billion worth of manufacturing goods, 61.3% up on the year, reports the head of the company’s economic department Valentina Stadub informed.

In January the production of cement grew threefold to 41.6 thousand tons.

The production of high quality cement M500DO totalled 20,500 tons (28.1% up), M500 D20 (with additives, widely used in silicate industry) – 10,500 tons, cement packed in 25, 50 kg sacks and 1,000 kg Big Bag containers – 2,800 tons (55.5% up on the year).

Over January 2005 the company also made 2.8 million roofing slates, or 54.4% up on the year.

Cement accounted for 81.9% of the company’s output. The produce has an ISO 9002 certificate.

In January 2005 the company exported 1,100 tons of cement (57.1%) and 24,000 million conventional roofing slates.

Goods in stock as of February 1, 2005 made 5.3% as against a 35% monthly target, the source said.

The company was set up in 1933. The staff counts 1,400 persons.
