Tender on architectural concept of High-Tech Park



The administration of the Belarusian High-Tech Park /HTP/ has invited an open international tender on the architectural concept of the park.


The project of High-Tech Park is expected to include:
1. Master plan, area development
2. Administrative and industrial buildings (100 000 sq m)
3. Hotel (5 000 sq m)
4. Expo Centre (1 000 sq m)
5. Car park (1 500 spaces)
6. Trade Centre (25 000 sq m)
7. Residential quarters (20 000 sq m)


The area of the land allocated for the High-Tech Park is 520 000 sq m. Approximate design cost $4 500 000. Design project commission – up to $500 000. Expected investments into initial construction works – $350 000 000-$600 000 000.

Foreign design companies with extensive track record in this sphere are invited to apply for the tender.

The Republican Unitary Industrial Enterprise "Baranovichskaya footwear factory "Ritm" goes into liquidation. The property of the factory is owned by the factory on the right of the economic authority. The industrial enterprise is included in Concern "Bellegprom" (The Belarusian State Concern for manufacturing and marketing of light industry goods that represents interests of 115 enterprises of different property forms).

Belarusian National High Tech Park - Business & Investment Opportunities 10 April 2006 Embassy afternoon briefing

The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in London hosted an afternoon briefing "The National High Tech Park project in the Republic of Belarus" Opportunities for Co-operation and IT Outsourcing" on 10th April 2006.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus Dr Alyaksei Mazhukhou in his introduction address to the participants stressed that the Republic of Belarus specially prioritises development of science and technology sector of the Belarusian economy. He expressed his confidence that this would boost dynamic development of business between Belarusian and British high-tech companies.

Business and investment opportunities offered by the Belarusian National High Tech Park were presented by the Chairman of the board and Director General of Science and Technology Association INFOPARK Mr Vladimir Basko and representatives of NHTP member-companies Mr Valery Virkovski (IBA Group), Mr Sergei Gvardeitsev and Mr Dmitry Dolgorukov (ITransition).

The event gathered representatives of a number of British IT, outsourcing and investment companies with interests in emerging markets, including Novoe Lts, Ocean Blue Software, OutsourceWorld, Fidelity International, Imprimatur Capital, CallTracks.

The representatives of the Belarusian companies informed the participants about the present trends and achievements in information technologies in Belarus, advantages of investing in Belarusian IT sector, highly qualified human resources and intellectual potential of Belarusian software development companies, favorable investment and business climate offered within the Belarusian National High Tech Park.

Representative of Novoe Ltd Mr Imran Khan gave a positive comment about cooperation with NHTP. Novoe Ltd took part in international tender on the architectural concept of the Belarusian National High Tech Park.

The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange Opened

 

The Republic of Belarus aims to refine the domestic and foreign trade regulations and rules and develop the organized wholesale markets of commodities. To this particular end, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange was set up, the founders being the Ministry of Economy, Belarusian State Concern of Material Resources “Belresursy”, Insurance Enterprise “Beleximgarant”, JSSB “Belarusbank”.

 

Today, the Exchange operates a wood stock section and a metal section and is set to launch sections of agricultural produce and oil products.

 

The first auction was held on 2 June 2005 at the wood stock section. Another auction to sell exports of pine and birch pulpwood will take place on 24 June 2005 in the Auctions Hall, 4th floor, 2 ul.Kazintsa, Minsk, Belarus.

 

At the same time, the Exchange is involved in preparing the first auction of the metal section which will follow shortly.
