ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
The electrical
engineering industry works at the crossroads of many industries. It has
sufficient opportunities needed to win new markets. For example, the
Brest Electrical Lamp Plant, when it faced the problem of low
profitability of producing ordinary incandescent lamps, it started
manufacturing halogen lamps for vehicles. Elevators of Mogilevliftmash
Plant are used in 12 countries of the world, including the cosmic
missile complex Baykonur.
The electrical engineering industry includes 16
enterprises manufacturing different products: cable and conductor
products, asynchronous motors, power and low-power transformers,
low-voltage equipment and devices, lighting products, elevators and
lifting equipment, electronic start-regulating equipment, lighting
devices for gas-discharge lamps, contact-free switches, power
semiconductor devices and rectifying units on their basis, and motor
control systems.
Electromodule Molodechno Enterprise manufactures power semiconductor devices and
rectifier units for vehicles and tractors.
The Minsk Electrical Engineering Plant named after
V. I. Kozlov manufactures
power and low-power transformers and equipment for power stations.
Mogilevliftmash Plant manufactures passenger elevators for dwelling and
administrative buildings, cargo elevators and agricultural machinery.
Belaruskabel Mozyr Enterprise manufactures cables and conductor products.
Gomelkabel Gomel Enterprise manufactures winding and non-insulated conductors.
Electroapparatura Gomel Plant manufactures low-voltage equipment and consumer
goods.
The Lida Plant of Electrical Products manufactures lighting equipment.
Avtoprovod Shchuchin Plant manufactures conductors and braid for tractor and
automotive industry.
The Brest Electrical Lamp Plant manufactures general and special incandescent
lamps for industry, motor, railways, air and water transport.
Electrodvigatel Mogilev Plant manufactures asynchronous motors and motor control
systems.
