ELECTRONICS
The
electronics industry includes 3 scientific-production amalgamations and
a number of individual enterprises. Products of electronics enterprises
have found use practically in all sectors of the national economy: in
information systems, television and radio equipment, cinema and
photographic equipment, industrial electronics, and complex consumer
appliances. The nomenclature is expanding and the technical level of
the electronic elemental base is being improved. Enterprises are at the
stage of conversion; different new technically complicated products are
manufactured.
Substitution State Program products that were
previously imported are now manufactured in Belarus. New specimens of
medical equipment and appliances are manufactured: control and
diagnosis instruments, incubators for new-born children, and artificial
cardiac valves.
Integral Scientific-Production Amalgamation (Minsk) manufactures over 1,500 types of
integrated circuits, over 400 types of semiconductor instruments, 40
types of liquid crystal displays and panels, over 150 types of consumer
goods, and 60 brands of special technological equipment.
Planar State Scientific-Production Concern of
Precise Machine Building
(Minsk) manufactures optic-mechanical, assembly and test equipment for
radio and electronics industry, medical equipment and appliances,
including artificial cardiac valves, step motors, immersion pumps, and
consumer goods.
Monolit Vitebsk Production Amalgamation manufactures a wide range of monolithic ceramic
capacitors, piezo-ceramic products, various types of passive electronic
components, ceramic materials, and consumer goods.
The Pruzhany Radio Components Plant manufactures articles of electronic machinery,
furniture accessories, ironmongery.
Minsk Research Institute of Radiomaterials State
Enterprise carries out
research, development and putting into practice of all types of
functional materials and products based thereon.
