Tractor and Agricultural Machine Building
This sector oriented towards the agrarian
sector of economy. Recently it improved quality of its traditional products and
manufactures new models of machinery. The agricultural machinery sector
includes 30 enterprises, which provide machines for the agro-industrial
complex, including machines for agricultural products processing.
New products are developed by specialized institutes,
special design departments and plants; design departments. The enterprises are
oriented towards manufacture of agricultural machinery and equipment for
processing sectors. The leading enterprises of this sector, Minsk Tractor Works
Production Amalgamation, has begun to manufacture a new series of tractors with
the power of up to 130 h.p. with the synchronized gearbox, a hydraulic steering
and a modern hydraulic system. Preparations are made to manufacture machines
MTZ-1522 150-180 h.p.; a new more powerful tractor (up to 250 h.p.) is being
designed.
The enterprise is among the seven largest
exporters of such machinery in the world.
The Minsk Tractor Works manufactures universal tractors of 50-180 h.p. (22 models), small
tractors of 20-35 h.p. (6 models), motor units and mini-tractors 8-12 h.p. (8
models), communal, loading, mining and forest machines (815 models). Gomselmash
Production Amalgamation manufactures self-propelled fodder harvesters,
universal energy facilities, fodder and beet-root complexes, sowing machines,
mowers, reapers, wood-planting machines, mini-tractors and grain harvesters.
The Minsk Gears Plant manufactures tooth shafts and wheels for automotive and other
machinery, steel forging equipment and tractor ploughs.
Bobruyskagromash Plant manufactures transport technology machines for spreading liquid
and solid organic and mineral fertilizers, complexes of machines for hay
making, transportation and distribution of coarse fodder in rolls, mobile
universal fodder distributors and machines for flax harvesting.
Lidselmash Enterprise manufactures potato sowers, cultivator-cum-ridgers, potato
harvesters and digging machines, disk harrows, tractor ploughs, pneumatic
universal sowers and other types of agricultural machinery.
Bobruyskselmash Plant manufactures the following equipment for the MTZ tractors:
segment-finger mowers, dump trailer "Bizon" (7 t), and a
"Pauk" device for timber trailing. The Plant also manufactures
"Fortuna" trailers for cars, sets of school furniture (desks and
chairs), mini-complexes for garbage collection, and equipment for housing and
communal facilities.
Brestselmash Plant manufactures equipment for heating, ventilation and hot-water
supply: heat generators, furnace units, steam boilers and boilers for houses,
and grain dryers (8 t/h).
Mozyrselmash Plant manufactures equipment for heating, ventilation and hot-water
supply: heat generators, water-heating installations, and boilers for houses.
The Brest Electro-Mechanical Concern manufactures pneumatic universal grain sowers.
